Car sanitisation service launched during virus crackdown

A free car sanitisation service has been launched at the AutoServ car care centre run by Al Masaood Tyres, Batteries & Accessories (TBA) Division in Abu Dhabi’s Sea Palace area.

The company has made the move to support the efforts of the government to protect the United Arab Emirates in the wake of the coronavirus crisis and as part of the firm’s corporate social responsibility.

Included in the free service is the sterilisation of all interior car surfaces to get rid of bacteria, dirt and germs that may be sticking to those surfaces.

The initiative is being included as part of Al Masaood Group’s ‘Wiqaya’ campaign, which the company launched throughout its service centres and divisions to assist with the implementation of preventive and precautionary measures.

The measures are intended to protect the safety and health of customers and company employees in order to be in accordance with the UAE government’s highest standards.

The free car sanitisation service is now being offered to customers because of the company’s keenness to support the efforts being made by the government to protect the UAE, according to the general manager of Al Masaood TBA Division, Salah Adib.

The company has always worked closely with the authorities to protect the wellbeing of residents and citizens and to promote road safety in the UAE through a variety of different campaigns, Adib points out.

The new initiative is intended to help implement various preventive measures to safeguard and protect the wellbeing of the community.

Al Masaood Group is committed to supporting the UAE government to preserve the welfare of the community, which is one of the fundamental values of the company, according to Adib.

The move comes as the spread of the coronavirus has led to a number of guidelines being issued by the UAE government to try to cope with the crisis.

The UAE public has been urged to restrict travel to the use of their own family cars and to not have more than three people per car at any one time.

The UAE government will be issuing guidelines on the use of taxis and public transport later.

The UAE has so far experienced 248 cases of the virus, with two deaths.

Al Masaood TBA Division distributes the complete Bridgestone Tyres range of trucks, cars, agricultural, industrial and earth mover vehicles within the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi.

The Bridgestone Corporation has awarded the firm the title of the Gulf Cooperation Council Distributor of the Year on a number of occasions.

Distribution and sales are handled via an appointed network dealer, with the division’s own Al Ain, Abu Dhabi and Western region showrooms supporting them.

Anyone who drives any kind of motor vehicle in the UAE must by law ensure that they are covered by a basic form of third-party car insurance in order to legally drive on the country’s roads.

However, more comprehensive car insurance packages can also be purchased to cover the likes of bad weather damage and car theft.
