Two of the most popular Volvo Cars models, the XC60 and XC90, are being displayed by the company’s official dealer in the United Arab Emirates, Al-Futtaim Automotive Group company Trading Enterprises, at the Sustainable City Horse Show.
The show, which is being held in Dubai, runs for four days until 15th February, and is a family event with more than 200 international show-jumping horses and riders, including World Equestrian champions and Olympic champions.
Other family-friendly fun activities being staged at the event include a horse auction, the Origin Organic food market and the K9 Dog Show.
Trading Enterprises’ managing director Oscar Rivoli says that the company is always trying to get closer to customers and displaying two flagship Volvo vehicles at the event is a great way to do that.
The XC90 MY20 is the top-of-the-line flagship model from Volvo – a seven-seat SUV that mixes the latest and best technology, material design and usability to provide customers with a superior experience.
Model highlights include the interior design quality, driver assistance, communication systems, and the interface and connectivity systems.
The revamped XC90, meanwhile, also offers customers Volvo’s advanced kinetic energy recovery braking system for the first time, which is combined with the existing internal combustion engines, resulting in a new integrated electrified powertrain.
This provides drivers with up to 15% emission reductions and fuel savings.
There are also subtle upgrades to the exterior of the vehicle, including exterior colours, a new grill and new tyres.
The interior retains the award-winning superior design, but can now be ordered in a striking range of new seating configurations.
The XC90 also features active safety technology in the form of steering assistance with both the Blind Spot and City Safety Information System.
The XC60 MY20 is the second vehicle on display at the event – this is a five-door and five-seat mid-size Volvo SUV that comes with superb materials and design and the latest technology.
Key features of this model include the interior design quality and user interface, safety technology, low driver assistance and connectivity features.
The XC60 is extremely connected thanks to Sensus, Volvo’s infotainment and connectivity system, and delivers a very intuitive touchscreen interface that mixes vehicle functions, connected services and navigation.
In-car entertainment applications also feature in the model, including the likes of Spotify, TuneIn, Baidu and Pandora.
The touchscreen gives fast and easy access to a wide array of features and functions, and also available is Smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The XC60 also confirms Volvo’s leadership status in the automotive safety field, with extensive usage of boron steel making the SPA platform the strongest vehicle that the firm has yet produced.
There are also a number of safety systems geared to protecting people in both the interior and exterior of the car.
City Safety technology comes as standard with all Volvo vehicles and combines collision avoidance systems and automatic braking.
Anyone who is driving a Volvo or any other make of vehicle in the UAE is legally obligated to be covered by a car insurance policy.
